International Workers' Association
90th anniversary conference
5 January 2013, London
Due to unforeseen circumstances, including one of the key organisers and speakers having been taken seriously ill, we have had to reduce the conference to just Saturday 5th January 2013. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
IWA-AIT 90th anniversary conference
Hosted by South London Solidarity Federation
Forthcoming: 'Fighting for ourselves: anarcho-syndicalism and the class struggle' – a new pamphlet by the Solidarity Federation
[i]We are living in times of unprecedented attacks on our living conditions on all fronts, of rising social tension and sometimes violent eruptions of class conflict. And yet if anything, the surprise is not that there have been riots and the odd strike, but that there have been so few. How are we to make sense of this? How are we to fight back, to take the initiative?
Late last night it was pointed out on twitter that libcom.org has a far higher Alexa rating than liberalconspiracy.org (known as libcon). This caused ex-Tory supporter turned Coalition voter Sunny Hundal to have a cry.
Since then it's been pointed out by one twitter user that Alexa stats are largely meaningless, not something that we'll dispute, and that if you compare our 2009 and 2010 stats with libcon's from July 2011 the traffic both sites receive is largely the same. Now I don't really care about these figures but it's worth refuting libcon/Sunny's hysterical claims that we're irrelevant.
