Into the Dustbin of History? Maybe Not!

The Rise of Nationalism and Fascism

The War of Ideas.

Discussion called by Anarchist Federation.

The fight against war cannot be waged without taking a stand against nationalism and fascist ideas. We look at why their growth is being aggravated by the economic crisis.

All welcome.

This gonna be a good one.

The AF pamphlet Against Nationalism hits the nail on the head too.
Also, we won't be soft on all that Leftist national liberation stuff either!
Look forward to seeing communists from other organisations there to add the the spirit of the evening.

Dan.

I for one really enjoyed the two recent London AF public meetings I caught, and labour intensive I know, but I hope you guys continue them. Although there was a misunderstanding about the ICC invite it was nice to see they were well behaved and comradely, and a good contribution by all.

I agree that this was a good meeting and I think it helps create the conditions for a more fruitful discussion between the AF and left communists.

so do I take it the ICC were allowed in? That's quite a significant change. I think it's a good sign though. I hope they were well-behaved!

We have been thinking about coming to these meetings for a while but were reluctant to cause any kind of scene. What encouraged us this time was that we received an email from an AF comrade saying that he would like to see us at the meeting. Battlescarred was basically Ok about us being there at the beginning, having simply asked 'you're not going to rant are you?'.At the end he said we were welcome to come again; so yes I think this is a significant step.
Now Steven,October has already said we were 'well behaved', no need to flog a dead horse...

I significantly changed my mind about the ICC at meetings when Miles joined us in the pub after a day school in Manchester. Somehow beer does loads to break down barriers smile

Oh dear, oh dear. It looks like the ICC's 'try not to look mad' policy is bearing fruit. sad

Would we be welcome to attend the public meetings of the AF in Bristol? If so is there any coming up?
