Just got a copy last night - looks interesting, is nicely set out and has a good array of content - a good first effort!!!

Good news - the more anarchist propaganda on the streets of Belfast the better. Like weeler I think it shows potential and hope it lasts.

It is relatively easy to get out a paper. The most difficult thing is to keep it going, selling and distribution.

Our experience (AF) has been that the sooner it's on the web the sooner people buy Organise. Weird, but true.

Looks good - didn't read the whole thing but had a skim and there's def a good range of content. I'd watch some of the headlines, some look quite stretched. But otherwise nice work Organise crew

On another note, i thought Organise! were heading down the freesheet route, why the about turn?

Mo' Money Mo' Problems.
We figured if people pay for something they are more likely to read it, not just take it, put it in their pocket and then put it in the recycling when they get home.
We'll still do freebies / leaflets or whatever when appropriate.

Fair enough. I suppose it depends on who the propagandas primarily aimed at.

We're effortlessly different, didnt need to do a paper to prove it.

Personally, I think a lot of people dont, or cant be annoyed to, differentiate between all the xeroxed leaflets they get handed on marches / demos etc. Hopefully this will stand out a bit.

The key number isn't the printrun though. It's the number you have to sell to recoup enough of the outlay to make another issue financially viable.

If that number is 2000 then we probably won't be seeing another issue of The Leveller any time soon, but it's probably a lot lower than that.

Aye, but for modern sweated print shops that only means they need to hold it for about five minutes.

And like notch8 said, paper or not, we are effortlessly different to the WSM

But here, one of their Belfast 'lot' has offered to help with advice on layout and shit like cos we have never written any articles or printed anything before etc, etc...
