Antifa Propaganda article
(I'm writing an article with intent on being pro antifa propagnada. I'm looking for general criticism and perhaps some accuracy checking. Thanks! Also, if you have any suggestions on what I can add, please tell)
There is a war going on in Europe.
It's not a traditional war with guns and tanks but its a war all the same.
Its a war between antifa and neo nazi fascists.
Because of the London Bombings and the rising immigration from muslim countries, people are beginning to fear both terrorist attacks and the threat of job loss. Because of this, Fascist parties like the British National Party are beginning to flex their muscles, with promises of security and the closing of borders, for the purpose of gaining political capital.
While the BNP and other such parties throughout Europe deny sanctioning any sort of attacks on immigrants, it is well known that neo nazi fascists who are members of these parties, go around merrily beating and murdering immigrants. What have these governments done? Nothing.
However, there are some people who are taking a stand. A group of anti fascists known as Antifa have come from nowhere and are out there reclaiming the streets from nazis. They are a militant organization of anarchists and radicals, dedicated to defeating fascism here and now.
And you know what? Their tactics work.
In Britian during the 80's when these tactics were used by Anti Fascist Action, they did so well that hardly any nazi or fascist was able to organize. In Greece, no nazi will dare show his face for fear of a sound beating from the anarchists there. Despite how you may feel about violence, these tactics work.
However, the nazis are fighting back. Recently, a russian antifa member Timur Kacharav was stabbed to death by neo nazis. Another russian antifa member, Aleksandr “Shtopor” Ryukhin, was murdered by neo nazis whom was simply targeted because he was attending a punk show which happened to have many antifa members in it. In addition, anti fascists Dan and Spit, have been kidnapped and executed by neo nazis.
These people are fully aware of what they are doing. They are out on the streets making the places safer for minorities and immigrants. They are doing what the government will not do--take a stand against neo nazis.
They need your support! The fact that hardly anyone is aware of antifas existance is an injustice on those that have sacrificed their lives for the cause. Spread the word about antifa. Join in the fight against fascists and neo nazis. Just remember to always honor those that have died.

ok since you don't want to reply -
Antifa in the UK has articles and prop already - who is this for and who asked for it?
i wouldn't be so fucking ignorant to people if I had hair like yours!
fucking Miami Vice!
I'm from the USA but I decided to put this article on hold. I was going to publish it in an anarchist mag I'm making.
fair play mate.
If ur in the US, praps you want to look at fascism and antifascism in the US?

Well there is kinda a controversy about that. We have our own sorta antifa down here called ARA but I'm not too into them because as far as I can tell, the tactics they use are ineffective as compared to antifas.
Another thing is that the Minuteman is by far the biggest threat but I'm not really sure if they are fascist or not. Its a little confusing getting information because I find conflicting reports from anarchists and conservatives and even liberals. But whatever. I was just figuring that if more people in the US knew about antifa, they would try and be more like antifa. I'm not too into the ARA.
Who are you saying "antifa" are? Cos it's not like they're one group or anything.

When I say Antifa, I'm reffering to the European Antifa. I think ARA might have been a branch from the old AFA.
ARA are a branch of the old english AFA? Er...
The point is mate, european antifa aren't one group. And there are eurpean antifa groups called AFA, just to make things nice and confusing.
have a bit of search on the net mate, its not hard infor to find. Wiki has the lowdown.
If i were you i'd get onto the north america forums here and talk about how to tackle the minutemen, and just generally chat to other people a bit more.

European antifa isn't one group. It's probably more than hundred groups, plus entire sections of (sub)cultures, plus a hell of a lot more...

KSL just did something on Anti-Fascism, Im reading it at the mo and its a good solid read.
Now thats some confusing shit.
Okay I'll do some more research and then revise. Thanks.
To speak purely from a 'review of the article' angle, I think your article is pretty good, and an interesting read. I'm sure if it's aimed at a sympathetic audience it will get support for the cause...
Good luck.
at the same time, not wanting to be overly negative, it might best to just get an existing org's material and adapt it to your mag if you are new to this.
ARA are the antifa organisation in the US, withs some fash actually calling them antifa or antifas.
I'd be interested to hear your criticisms of them Fin.

- who is this article for, and how are you publishing it?
- where are you located? Just country is fine.
