I do hope the 'embarrassing incident' wasn't when you showed up in Dublin and had no problem engaging in outrageous banter with 'the lads' slagging each other off all day but then spazzed out when I called you a paki in the safety of someone's house? That really showed you got our sense of humour and weren't a total insecure drip. The reality is, I was never that embarrassed, I felt bad that you couldn't get over it.

Anyway, to clear the air, here is the simple, cheap and delicious recipe I am making for dinner.
Ingredients (for 2 people)
250 grams pasta (preferably spaghetti, preferably brown)
100 grams streaky bacon (you can use FULL BACOS if you are veggie)
1 onion
1 chilli
1 can chopped cherry tomatos (can do with normal or vine tomatos but not nearly as good)
dash of olive oil
salt
pepper
heaped teaspoon of sugar
parsley
Worcester sauce (optional)
cheese to serve (preferably parmessan)
Method -
thinly chop bacon and onion. Remove chilli seeds and chop.
Fry bacon in olive oil on a low heat until it browns at edges.
Add onion and chilli, cook on low heat for at least 15 minutes until onions caramelised.
Add tomatos and sugar and leave to thicken on low heat for 20 minutes.
Put the pasta on while it cooks.
Season with salt, pepper, parsley and worchester sauce.
Pour over cooked pasta.
FULL GOOD STUFF
