What do people think about the BBC strike?

Its quite cool a big media company striking and then the news about it being strike-positive and on the frontpage and top of their website wink And that its harder to ignore than most strikes because of the publicity it gets.

Quote:

The NUJ and Bectu said 2,000 new members had joined since the job cuts were announced in March.

..... as I said in the "Organise" thread, why not text on 07786 200949, and let the scabs know what you think of them.

(That's the number of the BBC Radio London phone-in text service).

wink

Big names who did turn up for work included Radio 1 breakfast show presenter Chris Moyles and Radio 2's Terry Wogan.

Just found out that Wogan is an atheist, most fascinating thing about that turncoat wannabe brit!

Heard bits and bobs of the pre-recorded crap on radio5 this morning but at the minute it's live - seem to always be able to find someone to cross the picket...

Oh I dunno, seems to have been solid in many places, many of the big names I wouldn't have thought to be pro strike (Kaplinsky...) showed some backbone.
