Guardian article today - "Yob culture"
this is some scary shit..
http://www.guardian.co.uk/guardianpolitics/story/0,3605,1483098,00.html
PM attacks yob culture and pledges to help bring back respect
Fuck yeah! Anything to do with
?
Or am I really just a paranoid primmo
who won't admit it?

(to edit with relation to successive comments)
I was thinking about New Snaga slapping ASBOs
on us lot for "looking threatening",
but I'd agree hoodies are an act of rebellion
even if those wearing them don't always know
what they're rebelling against.I'm convinced Chavs
yobbos are all Andy Capps/Gangster Capitalists.
(or are they the proof that the urban proletariat
really are the most socialised class?
)
Its not paranoia. If it happens 2 u it happens. I hate the way if u say anything about ordinary people attacking each other u get accused of being some kind of gormless panicking idiot whose getting manipulated by the media in2 thinking somethings happening that isnt. I think linking the kids who wear hoodies to resisting the state and rebellion isnt accurate either. I mean its an image capitalism promotes, they sell them that image and ive never seen those kids attack the rich, only each other. Its an image stereotype whatever thats divisive of the working class. Most ive met, were the least rebellious people ive ever encountered, they had the same ideas as any capitalist -they were racist 2 but thats more 2 do with where i was living. i think assuming theyr resisting capitalism and the state so theyr like halfway 2 being anarchists cos they wear hoodies and hang round on street corners is naive cos the ones i met, those ideas werent in theyr heads. If they were rebelling then it was against anyone weaker than themselves, they thought they had the right, survival of the fittest.its the same as assuming all people in hoodies r muggers. Thing is tho u R more likely 2 get attacked by someone in a hoodie tho rnt u? i no im contradicting myself now but a mugger'll wear a hoodie not 2 be recognised so it would be favourable attire over a shirt and trousers.

Are you that berk who sees him self as the "king of brixton" on u75.
anna-ive only been started on by people in shirt n trousers, but maybe thats because most people in hoodies are 'grebos' and so tend to be fairly placid creatures.
with regard
I mean its an image capitalism promotes
Is there any images that capitalism doesnt promote? I mean there are images everywhere, riots and resistance have been promoted to sell nike sportswear.
Anyone can wear a hoody, but thats clearly noot what its all about, its about the people in the hoodies, the hoody is just an accessory. A neo-nazi can wear a hoody, so can an anarchist or someones granny. The point is CCTV cant identify someone in a hoody. Now just because someone doesnt state that their aim is the abolition of the social relationship of capitalism it doesnt mean that they arent in some way rebelling against the system they live in.
sorry about that, went a bit mental.

What - moslems?
He said he backed the decision of the Bluewater shopping centre near Dartford in Kent to ban the current teen fashion for the wearing of hoods over heads in the centre.
Fucking ridiculas

Possibly, but I meant black block.
This is just before someone starts blahing on about fucking Chav
Chavs/Trevs are twats. A little short fat trevor climbed into my front garden today, trying to find his ball. Stupid fat tev don't you know there's a gate infront of you?
This talk of ASBOS/chavs/hoodies is getting boring.
- I got an ASBO, I'm not a trev and I wasn't wearing a hoodie. I was wearing a lovely white shirt with surfboards on it
- Trevs aren't all working class. It's the attitude and clothes, not the background.
- One of my friends is a trev and she's middle class
- Trevs have been around for years, they're not new things. The media just got bored of talk about paedophiles.
- Trevs is a stupid youth culture thing and not,
- They are by no means the robin hood of any class. Infact they're quite the oppisitte.
- I got a nice new grey hoody from H&M
- I'm really actaully very drunk but can still puncuate my words.
Sorry for that ranty mcrant but seriously jesus christ on a bicycle.
Now maybe we can stop talking about Chavs/Trevs/Townies/whatevers everytime someone mentions ASBOS?
Oh and btw, where I live, grebos are skaters and kids into rock music so put that in your shoes and walk around in it.

Thank you, finally.

Just put this on the newswire. Nearly half of young people to breach Asbos jailed.
. Or, on reflection, not that
at all, really.
watch out all little short fat people
Man, I love my drunken posts
Man, I love my drunken posts
We all do. Hail the mighty shoes!
Long live the hoodie revolution of 'Shoes!
