Police Auctions
This is something i have always wondered about - how do you find out about police auctions where they sell off confiscated stuff?
Cheers button... found an online auction site as well: http://www.bumblebeeauctions.co.uk/
Thought they woulda had more stuff than that tho..
There is a place in london somewhere, in tooting, or somewhere like that I think, where they sell off all sorts of repossesed stuff and bags of luggage that people left at airports. They have a site with the list of the stuff they have, but I can't remember it.
Ohh that sounds cool. Remember it!!
I'm trying, I had a look on the net, i heard about it ages ago on one of them programs about airports.
woo hoo, found it, http://www.greasbys.co.uk/ is the one I was thinking of. And if you go to this site, its got loads of london places that are similar http://www.infolondon.ukf.net/auctions/general.htm
Used to be able to get a good bike at the annual police bike auction in Albany, CA. sparrow
saw a guy at Bestival last weekend wearing a police riot helmet. i wonder if they auction their kit at those things too...
A friend of mine has his bike stolen, and eventually it showed up when the cops arrested someone for stealing a whole bunch of stuff. Unfortunately for my friend, the local cops know him (from protests) and really don't like him, so they screwed him over and refused to give him the bike back. He ended up having to buy it back off them at a police auction. Bastards.
