Exeter: Is There A Revolutionary Alternative To Capitalism? 17-02-07

A small group of us are attempting to set up a new discussion circle in Exeter.

We've booked a room at St Sidwells Community Centre, in the city centre (Sidwell Street, just opposite Somerfields) for the 17th February, 12 midday.

The first session is titled "Is there a revolutionary alternative to capitalism?".

The aim in setting up this group is to create a space where people in the region can come together to discuss revolutionary politics. It is hoped that this discussion will:

· provide an environment where we can discuss and learn more about working class politics and history without having to declare agreement with a particular political ideology or join a "party";
· Allow individuals to overcome the sense of isolation that often accompanies an interest in and/or commitment to radical politics.

The only criterion for involvement is a desire to discuss and being willing to do so openly, honestly and constructively. People from any political background or affiliation (or none) are welcome.

If anyone would like further details, feel free to respond on this thread or PM me. Otherwise, just turn up!

Admin edit: please put the date in the title
