I've just done a search of this forum, and I dont think its even been said once yet, but if it has let me add my voice to it - well done everyone at libcom for all the work on the site. THis version looks really nice, and all the non-forum stuff is fantastic.
Im sure theres a lot of blood sweat and tears going on in the background, so I just want to say well done and thanks.

P.S. It would be nice to have that daily quote thing, that was mentioned in the favourite quotes thread

This is a response to Johns comment which is the 6th post after my OP on p1 of the quotes thread in which he said quotes with attributions, background info etc would be randomly displayed on v4 of the site. So that is not quite the same thing as having one that changes daily but tbh they are BOTH good ideas and it would be good to crack on with either/both.

ok, i'm not sure where we are with that - i know we had a random article display function at one point so it should be technically feasible (we'd just need a content type 'quotes' wouldn't we admins?), but it's probably going to have to wait until we upgrade to drupal 5 (preliminary bits happening now). we'd also need to figure out where to put the quote, i.e just on the home page, somewhere on every page, or what ... any suggestions?

I reckon a block in thought, library, possibly thought forum would be good. Or depending on space maybe just the indexes.

Yeah a random block would be pretty easy I think. Probably not every page though.
