Could I suggest that images such as flyers in opening posts be linked to rather than posted directly. This would make the site more work-safe.
If it's a pain in the arse to moderate, no worries.

Also, after upgrade, one of the things we're planning is an image-free, pretty-basic, worksafe theme, so you'll be able to switch to that if you want.

catch explained how to do this in IE once, any chance of a repeat? I don't have internet at home and a download site I use has started putting up massive explicit porn adverts.

yeah in IE6 go tools - internet options - advanced, and scroll down to 'multimedia' and untick 'show pictures'. everything's that bit more long-winded in IE
