Still work to be done, but getting there.

you realise we now have an 'article' by Hamas in the library?
Ah ok. giz a sec.
OK. It now only links to book, library, and history pages. So no more Hamas entry.
yay! i always doubted their libertarian communist credentials
Added a filtered tag list as well, since not everything has an author and it's a different option for navigating.
Not sure if it's a good idea to have both library and history pages, but figured may as well fo rnow.
Thats very good. Looks great. Im guessing that uses its own CSS sheet.
So thats history and library articles togther you saying?

The panel uses a CSS sheet, might be a views one in the modules as well. However you can stick an ID around it in admin >> panels for styling.
So thats history and library articles togther you saying?
Yeah for both. Like I said, not sure either way.
yeah probably best to drop history if we know how.
looks great tho!
ok easy to drop history, just figured there's a lot of crossover with some of the tags.
Yeah but even so i thin its good to keep the sections as distinct as possible.
History's aim is to be articles under 2k words, which are concise starting points, which isnt really what should be in library/
Yeah that's true. I'll take history out.
Probably better to do section interlinking with related articles/manual links than blur them in the indexes.
Ah---it's not working properly.
For example, the Nick Heath sectiomn shows 2 articles,
http://libcom.org/tags/authors/Nick+Heath
And the AF shows 4....
http://libcom.org/tags/authors/Anarchist+Federation
whats your point ping? :?
That Nick Heath actually has three or four pages of articles credited to him, and there are loads of articles credited to the AF (aren't there?)
Ah I see- you mean those are History....!
sorry i see what u mean:
http://libcom.org/library/nick-heath gives loads of articles
While
http://libcom.org/tags/authors/Nick+Heath
gives 2.
library index latest feed shows articles still in moderation.
joseph, i wrote a very short abstract for the SouB thing you stuck in there, cos the intro was very long - and was more of notes on the text than an abstract of the text. I think we should try to keep the bold abstracts to less than 3 lines where possible - that way they're the same length as news/history/etc. ones and look neater in tag indexes, etc.
John. - thats fine, i was so tired after formatting it i just bunged it in there to fix later. hoping you'd do it
wanker!
sorry i see what u mean:http://libcom.org/library/nick-heath gives loads of articles

Yeah it filters to library articles only.
No i still dont get it....
http://libcom.org/library/nick-heath
Thats meant to be his library articles right? But the first one which comes up on that page is a history article.
However:
http://libcom.org/tags/authors/Nick+Heath
That should be all is articles across the site shouldnt it? But it only has library articles...
ok gotcha.
All authors default to "library" instead of "tags" for urls. Maybe we should change that now we're tagging history articles with authors and redirect them.
The second one I made up with views and is filtered.
Yeah i think we should definitly swap them, because just from their URL vs. the content they are confusing.
OK we need to do this:
delete all url aliases for /library/author and forward them to new url aliases for tags/author.
Sort out
news/tags/[tag]
library/tags/[tag]
etc.
with views arguments which I've been meaning to do for a month or so.
No i still dont get it....http://libcom.org/library/nick-heath

nah you got it the wrong way round rkn.
I changed the authorslist url to directory/library/authors and the tag list to directory/library/tags
Don't like directory so any ideas!
John what do u mean?
Isnt tags/authors more logical to cover all authors on the whole site?!
Where as library should only reflect authors in the library?
i'm saying -
No i still dont get it....http://libcom.org/library/nick-heath
Thats meant to be his library articles right?
no - all authors are given auto-urls starting library/author-name.
But this is shit, it should just be tags/author-name. catch is going to change yeah?
However:http://libcom.org/tags/authors/Nick+Heath
That should be all is articles across the site shouldnt it? But it only has library articles...
right now that's what it's meant to do.
But that's pointless. there's no point separating thought/library/history articles, for example. A bunch of AF articles are in history, and howard zinn, chomsky, etc. of course news is trickier, because there are some things like that in news, but mostly stuff *about* people and groups, but then there's loads of shit in history/library like that too - CNT, IWW, etc.
there's still overlap between tags + authors on IWW, CNT and some others...
Nice work catch.
