that gives us a tonne of space at the bottom.

hmm. Could we move about to top centre bit like the library and organise ones? Then every index would (eventually) have it, it'd be a pretty short block so wouldn't take much space.

library and notes/explore blocks need doing - if they're static, can just do as custom content straight in the panel - whole organise index is like that.

then I think a full width features block down bottom would be good - again this could be static or some kind of view, doesn't need to change that often - do it when there's events and stuff like Russian Revolution or a big current thing going on.

ok I understand now. Cool you can do library one at the same time really easily (just check organise index for reference).

organise doesn't have something at the top.

well we could do that, or we could move lib and history to the side like index? i like new stuff being right at the top...

hmm will have a think. about/intro bits are too long right now i think.

ok can try, maybe tomoz though. is org index a view? but library... maybe it'd be best 2/3 random articles by title only?

then we can put notes/explore block on 2nd row right, and have forums and library blocks both on bottom row?

related note - i think notes should be a drop-down separate from explore

yeah that's fine. Think I've fixed index custom bg but won't show up for a while.

major IE6/7 issues due to a fix for something else. Need to sort that.

hmmm, random library articles on front page should prolly be promoted to front page only cos lots are just like "Chapter 4"

would mean going and editing lots of old library articles, doing proper intros and stuff. still, we need to do anyway so could do that then?

then we can do thumbs/teasers too.

could go through by author, then a few key tags/sectors, then regions to tidy the rest. only have to do for good stuff for for the past... wouldn't take long to get it good enough to use random teaser on index and library index.

Yeah it should be front page - we've only got to do 50 or so before it'll be random enough.

If we go through, should think about any other tidying/tagging we might want to do at the same time. Also we need to kill old book region indexes, and move one-page books to library etc. Worth doing all those at the same time, or at least working out what needs to be done.

yup

so is book pages thing gonna have to be done manually then?

i think tagging is prob ok, but could do with improving i guess, now we know more tags we use. also can we pick location info for more stuff again? or is that still a bit messed up?

we could maybe get a bunch done on our training day...

books - yeah manually. Shouldn't be that many though.

location - we can add it obviously, but the main map will be a blank page if it hits memory limit - that might be reduced though with the new caching, and there's some google map specific stuff for loading lots and lots of markers.

So might as well put it in and can always raise memory limit a bit more temporarily.

Changed a bit - made blocks cached versions, and made library block all "promoted to front page" library and book articles.

Is anyone else getting it that the beginning of the text on the left in boxes is cut off? As in "ark Langford of infamous TAG..." and "here can never be such a thing as complete equality..."

no, no it might be me. I saw they fixed a css issue in panels module - because we already fixed it ourselves, it's broken our css when we upgraded the module. Too late to do anything about it tonight.

sorted, had to undo some hacky fixes due to the orignal bug, and put some padding margin back in. That's a good fix, made things a bit less gappy, although i can put more white space if we need to now.
