We're back! Ok it doesn't look gorgeous, but believe me its much better.
Please use this thread to post any significant problems/bugs you come across in functionality.
- Please don't post things about the themeing or look of the site unless in affects functionality (we know its not that pretty).
- Please don't post about long running problems - we know there is no jump to last post etc.
- Also no idle chat - start another thread if you want to do that.

yeah great, cheers. so a few things.
- First, it looks fucking great, nice one guys
- thumbnailing looks much improved. seems to work a bit better on main index than news index right now - tho that might be cos of the unusual close up bnp guy pic
- i will leave other things till things are a bit more sorted...

rkn - signatures, yep.
john thumbnailing - that's in admin imagecache - I just started playing around with it. It crops instead of resizes, we can play with it more though. Index ones are different yeah.

logged out stuff - I'm going to clear the sessions table, which will log everyone out once. That might clear some of that stuff up.

ok . logged everyone out - you should just be able to login again and it'll work.
news list doesn't show up for logged out users on front page, no idea why.

i find that after i post an edit (i've rewritten this three times), the choices to the right, edit/quote/etc., don't reappear next to the post, but are at the top of the page

Nice one catch!!! 
Only probs identified so far are that emoticons are not appearing in response to the code but i guess that will be resolved later as the final part of the process - the getting the look right part.
Slightly more seriously when i try and click on notes and go to submit a news article i am told "access denied" . I trust these are only temp. glitches???

Also the signature appears at the top as well as bottom of each post i write - in fact as soon as i click in a new blank post box it is already written at the top as a kinda given - pretty weird tbh. .
Also my prob is worse than newyawkas in the above post as i do not have options given at all to quote or edit etc. I also can't do images and that was my fave new trick. i have bold and italic and url but not quote or images or edit.
So woot - didn't quite work.

For me the 'quote' option is in the bottom right corner of the user's comment, and not in the toolbar above the 'post new comment' box. Is it the same for you perhaps LW?

Nah it is not the same for me but thanks for asking!!!
God it is beyondf weird but what is happening atm is that if i scroll across to the right hand side of the page - what would be beyond my view if i didn't scroll across - sporadically and randomly i am given the options of edit and quote and reply. BUT when i DO have this facility appear and i click on say quote - the quote just appears cut off from the rest of the thread in isolation away from the reply box and far above it. It does NOT appear in the reply/new post comment box so i can't take excerpts from it and reply to other peeps posts (rendering it a totally useless feature atm) which is a shame cos i only learnt how to quote separate bits of a post within a reply a week ago and miss being able to do this. Hope this is sorted soon.
Told ya it was weird.

the front page of the ite is all messed up on this computer: the text for the news item is nowhere near the photos to go with it but about 3 inches to the right and an inch down, same with the history, forums and latest articles text, in fact the latter are overlapping the text of the library box (which is where it should be. also the user box is down in the bottom left corner, or is that where it's meant to be? just looks a bit odd. i know technically that could be formatting problems or something, but as it makes some of the writing illegible i would think it's a functional one too... there's other problems with the look but those are the only technical ones, probably due to internet explore being a pile of crap.

Oh yeah. If you have any problems at all, please tell us which browser and operating system you're using.
If you're using internet explorer 5 or 6 - indexes are going to look like crap and we're probably not going to fix that. IE7 there's some smaller issues which we are going to fix.

I'm not sure if it's considered a "theme" issue, but is this excerpt option (which means that this message will start with the subject: "I'm not sure if it's") really necessary? Seems like a waste of space if messages can't be minimized, anyway. It's also kind of annoying.

Main forum page overlaps with the users online box.
The first line of the post appears in a white box at the top of the post.
At the bottom I have these:
* répondre
* Write to author
* Quote
Why are only two capitalised and why is only one in french 
For what it's worth I quite like the new design, especially the big star.
I'm using the latest update of Firefox (I couldn't be arsed to fuck about updating IE.
edit: Oh and for some reason edit wasn't showing up then either.
Sometimes when I am on a thread and I post I can't access the thread links at the top of the page (to navigate back to the forum) any more.
You may have just fixed that though.
ps is there any way to show when comments have been added to blog posts/articles? I don't bother looking at my old articles unless I'm putting in a link or checking something and it's nice to know when you've got some feedback.
edit: there isn't a "quote" button when you type posts.
Also the code button is probably unlikely to be used by anyone that doesn't already code their posts correctly.
yeah like rkn says - loads of stuff isn't finished, but we had to get this far on the live site before we could do any more.
So yeah please only post issues about things which don't work, not things which might look a bit funny/unfinished.
