didnt we have this issue before?

Just use : arrow : instead of :> was the solution i thought?

same issue. I think we fixed it by changing where html filter runs - > is html character so was getting stripped before smileys could find it or something.

i can't type in : arrow loads of times... ok then how about := or :; or something then?

and is there an easy way we can now change the possibly hundreds of them elsewhere in the site?

err.. what is that page (where did it come from? why do we have an html page?)? it has some atrocious html in it - open tags everywhere. I dont think thats to do with input formats.... was it fine before this latest bout of input format stuff? because the input format its using is not one of the two i have been playing with so nothing should have changed.

i switched position of html and smileys filters in normal (some html allowed new) and now its just showing as text instead of arrows - means it was better before as at least it was attempting to do something with the smileys. Ok sorted by allowing img as html.

rkn loads of html in library from endpage stuff, and I think a few history articles as well.

We can kill :> by doing find and replace in db.

best thing would to theme lists properly so we can use ul li tags and forget smileys for this stuff.

catch do u understand how i could have messed that page up? Its format is 'HTML no line breaks' but i only messed with two and that wasn't one of them.

:> will still work for old ones because i havent taken it out, just dont use it anymore and it will be fine.

No I'm not sure why that'd get messed up. If no-one's looked at it since upgrade it could just be because we're on html strict with css theme now.
