Searching for a particular users posts in old libcom required you to manually type that users name in the search.php dialog box, and new libcom is better in that it allows a URL to do that directly, e.g.: libcom.org/user/afraser/track
But - it has gone backwards in only now displaying the list of forum topics. The old search function gave the option of displaying the actual posts by that user in full, without having to wade around inside different forum topics.
Look/wonder at how much better it was in the good old days:
http://www.afraser.com/del/1.htm
(from searches I saved in anticipation of the hacker attack).
And that worked for searches other than on username as well, allowed us all to quickly search for and link in some old relevant discussion. Doing that now would take forever. Joe Black mentioned in a new forum on value that a lot of the discussion had already been duplicated in the past, but im buggered if I can find the url for that without the old style search functionality, and guess he might have tried and given up on that also.
So, can the old search.php functionality be brought back?

We might be able to do something with drupal's built in search, but we need to get the server more stable first.
