I just tried to edit an old post on the Anarchists and Autonomists thread to add a link - but this created a new edited post at the end of the thread instead, leaving the original post unchanged.

OK, so you need to link to the comment you were editing, and the new comment that got posted instead - this doesn't seem to be affecting me which makes it hard to fix 
Ideally choose a nice short thread as an example if you can find one.

Catch - the thread where I had this happen is - http://libcom.org/forums/announcements/anarchists-autonomists-22062008 - the edited post is now the last post on the thread. I thought the original post which I made a few days before (and somewhere in the middle of the thread) had been left unchanged but it isn't there now so maybe I've misreported the problem. I'll let you know if it happens again.

OK that helps, might be a comment ordering issue (which would make more sense, and is much easier to fix), will look into it.
