issues
fuck i just lost a really long post. it looks like you can't enter stuff here, then visit links and go "back" and the text is still here. I clicked the "BBCode" link below thinking it might display BBCode functions like IMG or QUOTE or something anyway couple of things:
- would be nice to have last post in each topic showing
- far right column i'm seeing in IE6 is blank
- usernames are huge and so drop text boxes below them making pages v long
it's looking good though!
yeah for me that page is totally screwed. also links in posts now show up in same window, not in _blank. 8) and do smilies work?is the search supposed to be working? cos i can't seem to get it to...
Last post in each topic is tricky I think - recent comments mitigates this a bit. BBCODE - you should be able to type it in, and use the toolbar at the top of the input box (bold, italic, quote currently has an indent icon but does the same thing). The usernames (and link colour etc.) is a css issue, hopefully rkn will be onto that later ;) Far right column where search box is is blank in IE6?
smilies aren't activated yet, that'll be a bit later on. the search has to be rebuilt from scratch - it's going to take a few days for that to happen. But if you go to: http://libcom.org.uk/cron.php and leave the tab/window open it'll speed it up!
that's a weird one, we've got to sort some basic formatting issues first, hopefully that'll take care of some of the bugs as well.

Yeah search is in col 3...and get the CSS thing. best to wait on most of the css stuff properly until we've come up with colour schemes and whatnot
so left - content - right1 - right2 It's set so that when the window isn't wide enough, right2 column floats underneath right1 instead - is that what's happening to you? That'd mean search and active topics appear under last viewed. If you make the window bigger or increase the resolution, it'll go back to 4 columns again.

Ok cool i see. it's just a bit weird the way it still leaves a gap, it would be better if the central column grew to fill up that gap, but hey no biggie
hmmm 2 things:
- it says add new comment in 1st post, and reply in all other posts
- could we have the location of the page at the bottom as well as top, like phpbb? i.e. home > forums > general > threadtitle

If you use back it refreshes. I'm not sure that that's a bad thing although it might be if the site is running slowly as you'll need to reload the page every time if you're hitting links of it. But that isn't really a problem I don't think.
wow will you check out the URL aliasing on the forum! great stuff. google here we come. though that'll be all the more reason to keep discussions sensible + split lots
oh, also some thing on the front saying total posts/users/etc. would be cool if poss.

A who's online thing on the forums index? Yeah would be excellent, dont think we know how yet. But it is possible
we might be able to use statistics module and then take information from that, not sure. To get all this on the front page I think we're definitely looking at a custom one. The standard one really is slow as well so it'd help with that.
also i don't know if this is new, but now the font sizes in IE6 are showing up bigger than yesterday. but if I shrink them down one size they're too small to read. the way it is it makes it hard to use them at work...
I've got an 'unauthorised' block on getting into the library with my account.
And blog just broke (ie. wiped the content I'd put on it). edit: And I can't post on it atm.

I'm playing with permissions at the moment, will change a couple of settings to get those back. Thanks!
"Mark all forums read"that would be useful...
saii - try your blog now. You'll need to tag the entry otherwise you won't be able to see it for now though.
unlikely I think, but you never know we might work it out.
oh can we have the links to skip between pages in threads and between different pages of threads in topics at the top as well as the bottom?

Thats a hard one. Will take a look though.
I'm aware of the wierd quote box indenting and stuff, something i plan to look at.
Yeah that works.
Any chance we could have a link to individual posts like on the old forums?
no for a while. We really hate the standard forum front page (what you see at libcom.org.uk/forums) but it's also the hardest thing to configure. When we've fixed a few of the little niggly things we're going to work on making a custom forums page that will hopefully have latest post and some other goodies on it, but that's a few days away at the moment.
I'd like to echo the request for a link at the top to different pages of the same thread, and also the main forum page doesn't have any info about how many people are online- this is a good feature if we can add it... EDIT: yes it does! Has that only recently been added? Well done anyway!
Can now get into library but all the pages are coming up as 'don't exist'.'
that's because no-one has done the 2000 cut and pastes we need to do to fix the urls. If you get rid of /library from your url you should be able to see it.
Hi Is it right that when one views the last page of a thread you also see the first post at the head? eg... http://libcom.org.uk/node/5852?page=5 Love LR

http://libcom.org.uk/node/8461?page=3 The formatting has gone so weird on this page that it's getting close to unreadable, it might be cause there are so many quotes.
