A new feature as part of the redesign is the ability to highlight a key quote from the article which then appears in the sidebar. The way this works is simple: there are two additional fields on the form when you post a news/blog/library/history article.
Key quote: A quote which summarises the article or gives a good flavour for what it's about. Often best to copy and paste a couple of pithy sentences from the conclusion rather than the intro (which is already prominent). Limited to 300 characters.
Key quote attribution: This is who the quote should be attributed to. It might be the author of the piece, in which case just type their name. It might be someone quoted in the piece e.g. 'a striking electrician'. And further info might be helpful too, e.g. 'Choccy, an education worker'.
We're kinda testing this as part of the new theme, but hopefully it will be easy and intuitive to use, and make articles look more attractive to read. So if you're posting a news article, blog, library or history piece, please try it out.
