Quotes

I've been noticing recently that where there is more than one quote tag in a post all the quotes seem to blur into one this seems to happen whrther or not I use the quote button.

Quote:
This would be the quote

this would be my answer

Quote:
then another quote

then another answer

It's happened in this thread where it doesn't really matter but I've also seen it swallow responses between two quotes so you can't tell easily what is quote and what isn't. There are better examples than that but I couldn't remember any threads of the top of my head, I'll add in a link next time I spot on.

Don't know if it's the same problem jef is talking about, but when you have one quote immediately following the other, the two quotes end up in the same box (at least, that's what happens in the thread you linked, and I think i've seen it in various others). For example:

Quote:
quote1
Quote:
quote2

The example in the op didn't work because there was normal unquoted text in between the two quotes, but if you took it away then they'd both appear in the same box.

yes, it happened to me as well. I think sometimes putting the quote markers with line breaks before and after fixes it

That's with 6 line-breaks. On the other hand:

1, 2, 3

Right so there's a bug, it needs something in between the two - a space should fix it then, to save having to put in 1, 2, 3 etc

Although we should just try to fix the bug...
