you've got the date wrong -- the riot occurred in 2006, not 2005, as clearly stated in the article.

yeah, small world. but there is only about two people in this tinpot shitty little country (New Zealand) who could manage to quote Guy Debord, talk about proletarian shopping, and criticise traditional indigenous hierarchies in the one article! in fact, criticising indigenous chiefdoms is generally a big no-no in leftist circles (anarchist included) in the south pacific.

the article was originally published in imminent rebellion, an anarchist zine from NZ. it was originally done for a sort of south pacific prol-position but that fell thru...

Why not just prol-position - although it's 95% Europe, I don't think that's editorial policy or anything.

Yup, good point, i should send them stuff directly, and get some stuff about struggles outside europe in their zine.
