tags guide

Didn't realise we had one, but it does need updating.
I added an 'immigrants' tag for a news bit, I reckon we need it.
Just deleted 30-40 tags too.
How do you combine these two? http://libcom.org/tags/unions http://libcom.org/tags/trade-unions
Also I updated the tags on an old article I'd put a crap tag on and got this message after the edit
* Your changes have been submitted for moderation.

It's not in moderation as far as I can see though. I reverted my revision so it's now the current version, am I going to have to do this everytime? (I don't retag stuff often enough if it's complicated to get around)
Oh and as I've seen that you edited it catch I'm now blaming you for that wrong tag
civil servants needs to be in ppublic sector - how can this be done? council housing and fire service too, and refuse collection
admin/content/taxonomy/switch
can we have 'banks' in services?
Yep, good.
LW says she can't tag articles, she's pm'd me a c+p of the submission page and it looks like she's right. She says she's got someone else to check it too.
I know not everyone can create tags but does this mean that only certain people can add them to articles? It does make them less useful that way.
Very few people can create tags - it's easier to put them in afterwards than do all the tidying up. Sectors and regions ought to be available though.
I know only a few can create tags. She can't add existing tags to articles, it used to be possible for everyone to do that with only tag creation being limited to the elite. Is it not possible to have it like that again?
And if it isn't then please could a mod remember to add in the TV Guide tag?
As can be seen in the TV Guide thread, JK originally sorted out a problem of "missing" TV Guides as stated in his pm of 9 Jan, but as Conor says on that thread, no TV Guide tag has been added for several weeks. - as he says since mid-Jan. ie after JK corrected the original oversight. Can someone correct this oversight and add them in for these past issues and from now on, now i no longer can do it?

No. Too many tags makes the form a nightmare. One day I will make an 'delete empty tags' module which'll do a lot of the tidy up for us, then we could probably do freetagging for all again.
catch, do we have a user tracker or similar to make it easy to find the untagged TV Guides so i can go back and tag them? looked in admin but couldn't find a way to filter by author and sort by date
We do, but it doesn't work great yet: http://libcom.org/users/jef+costello/news

+ replaces a space.
ok, i've added in all the missed tags. my oversight, obviously putting so much effort into finging appropriate pics i forgot to tag.
Thanks JK - I appreciate the pics selection - it is always good. Next time someone techy comes round i will pounce on them and ask if they know how to add pics in. Have asked a couple of people before but they didn't know how. Even if they were a bit techy they haven't submitted to a site before in this format.
Thanks for sorting out the tagging.
Love

LW, there's a box right at the top of the submit form with a 'browse' button to the right of it - if you browse to an image on your computer (e.g. one you've found on google images, and 'save as'ed to your desktop), then click the 'upload' button it will add the picture, then you can carry on submitting as normal.

I have tried before and it was a bit of a disaster
- but i will try again when next a competent human is around.

Jef, revisions are new, there ought to be a way for you to get 'round it but not sure exactly how yet.
