Installed it, very nice.
Doesn't allow us to move terms from one vocabulary to another, but there's a feature request for that already in so you never know.
Going to play with it a bit. I think now we have this it might be a good idea to consider moving countries into their own vocabulary - there are some clever things we could do with that like you'd select country and it'd automatically display in region listings without having to have two seperate tags to do that. And you could do things like put East Germany and West Germany inside Germany or whatever for historical countries.
Later on we could consider splitting out cities as well - with the city list being dependent on which country you select.
This would allow us to have tag clouds for countries, filtered views by country for news, make google maps easier to set up. Lots of things like that.

this looks v cool - countries thing too. will try to check out later.
so we are keeping countries/cities tags then for now, not gonna replace with google maps?
Countries/cities tags will be good for google maps - we can filter by UK to show a map of the UK etc. As yet there's nothing in google maps for filtering by "500 miles from Birmingham" or whatever which is what we'd have to do with just the long/lat.
The location module we were adding long/lat into and has options for country/city - I'm hoping we can replace that with just a long/lat thing. Location is not a good module.
More tags pain fixed. Only admins and editors can add tags now (sectors/regions/authors unaffected, could probably do authors I guess).
Had to fix vocabperms module (well break it the other way) to get it to work.
woo-haa!
so this mean we can tag forum discussions now? i not got much time now but that's something i could do...
It's possible to do that yes.
Main issue is they'll look shit in tag listings (no intro/photo) - an option would be to add an intro + photo field and only show these on tag listings, not the forum discussion itself.
Also we'd then have to install cck permissions module to restrict the intro and photo to admins/editors as well.
