The last few times I've added library content I've noticed the box to add tags seems to be missing. Is this a browser error or a editorial decision?
thanks. there are a few redunancies at that.
While y'all are fixing things how about adding agriculture or farm labor under sectors. Food and retail isn't exactly right for the sugar plantation piece.
agriculture is there, it's like
food retail
- agriculture
- supermarkets
except that hierarchy doesn't actually exist as yet. Regions changes are to fix that issue and others, and sectors we may well do the same thing once we've got regions working how we want.
Jef Costello did a massive deletion/tidy up before, but there's probably loads more in there we need to remove/merge.
FIJL is in tags, should be groups... can this be fixed?
Yes. admin/content/taxonomy/switch
all i can see is up, down, delete, add, merge?
You don't get "switch from vocabulary" "switch to vocabulary"?
not in Home > » Administer » Content management » Taxonomy Manager - tags
no
Yes. admin/content/taxonomy/switch
where's switch? in admin/content/taxonomy i get:
Taxonomy Manager
Vocabularies:
* Forums
* Authors, people and groups
* Formats
* Image Galleries
* Regions
* Sectors
* Tags
http://libcom.org/admin/content/taxonomy_manager
http://libcom.org/admin/content/taxonomy/switch
and it's a tab from /admin/content/taxonomy
ah i thought you were doing menus, not urls
tags are not showing region as well as country. should I add this using ctrl click or do you no longer want region and country?
Articles tagged with countries automatically show up in the region listing now, so we're probably not going to explicitly tag regions any more. Not sure about this though yet.
ah ok, cause when I was looking at them it wasn't listed. If it's done cleverly I won't worry about it.

Hi David,
We hid tags from most users because we've got so many redundant tags. Having said that we're in the process of moving regions (and maybe sectors later on) out of the freetagging vocabulary, so more will be available, and then we can just add the rest ourselves when we take it out of moderation. Since you add stuff quite regularly you'd be a candidate for "people allowed to tag" though, so let us know if you want it back!
