Someone had switched default input format from bbcode to rich text

yeah - it's always been like that. BBCode works in rich text. now BBCode is default it fucks up all articles cos it removes the space between the abstract and the article.

hmm catch said yesterday his comment jumping fix might break quote, maybe it broke bbcode. cant see how tho

could it be set so articles in HTML no line breaks format can use BBCode as well? to make updating easier?

Yeah - just go to admin >> input types and edit it to include bbcode.

btw yeah I changed something but I changed it back again when I saw this thread, forgot to post though.

i did it but it fucked up formatting of all those articles, like this one:

so i switched it off. no biggie really...

it put in loads of extra line breaks again. Active it and check it out for a second if you wanna see.

bbcode in rich text format added line breaks?

It might be that we're using the bbcode line break converter instead of the html one. Might we worth checking out.

fixed there, it's possible it's fucked something up elsewhere though.
