I really like the font used in the main text of posts. Its easy on the eye and nice to use. So what is it? Is it 12 point? Do you think it would be any good to use in a printed publication or does it just look good on computer screens? i'm thinking of using it you see

It's verdana. Not sure how it'd come out for a publication, but I've used it for letters and stuff and it normally comes out OK.

I think it's around 12 pixels.

Yeah for long printed text a serif font (like times new roman say) is usually best.

cheers. John, yeah, apparently they have done studies, and people generally remember the printed word better if its serif rather than sans serif. seems a bit weird to me, as serif often looks better to me visually, but oh well.
