Freedom at the Bookfair
Saii,
Is there going to be anything at the Bookfair to draw people who might be interested in helping out with Freedom? (I'm not volunteering - maybe in 5 years time
)
And another idea I had - how about getting a full year's worth of the paper in a big brown envelope, charging say a fiver or tenner, and using it as a promo/introduction to how much it's changed? Particularly so in that so many still think it has loads about allotments and how they're not relevant to class struggle.
Just an idea, without the responsibility of having to do the work, I know....
Regards,
martin
Yeah it's a good idea, I might be able to put together a couple maybe next time I'm down in the bookshop I guess.
In terms of having a meeting, I'd be fine with coming along a general media thing if it's set up,but I'm not doing another freedom-specific one cos of last year (we got four people, of whom all but one were already involved).
Maybe next year if it looks like there's a lot of demand for it, or as I say, if a few people come up to the stall on the day and ask then going down the pub would be fine. But I hate sitting in near-empty meetings.

I like the idea of having a sort of compilation pack of the last year's issues.
I'm sure half a dozen or so could be made up if people had time and at a fiver or a tenner I'd definitely buy one.
IIRC, media workshops at the Bookfair haven't been well attended in recent years, but I still think either a Freedom workshop or a general media workshop is worth doing.
A general workshop with representatives from the various publications is something I'd definitely go to.
