The anarchist delusion (article)

http://www.opednews.com/articles/The-Anarchist-Delusion-by-Joe-Giambrone-120509-808.html

Part II: http://www.opednews.com/articles/1/Delusional-Anarchists-Part-by-Joe-Giambrone-120513-310.html

Ignorance and smugness contained in the entire article? Any valid points the author is making?

One misrepresentation he made was by calling out wage earning as a voluntary exercise. Now, that is an oxymoron. And he called libertarian socialism an oxymoron, which is not surprising as he is from the United States.

Anyone want to post responses on that site? Some people may actually believe that stuff.

Exactly. I saw the article being shared on the twitter feed of username 'Anarchism Report', that shares some very good links from various anarchist websites. I think a rebuttal is necessary as the author seems like having no knowledge of anarchist history or is being willfully dishonest.

Fair enough. I guess I'm not so invested in anarchism that I feel obligated to respond to every yahoo who writes something against it. I've never heard of the author or the site, and the first part seems mostly talking about the Center For A Stateless Society, where various idiots congregate anyway.

Maybe a general response to liberal criticisms of social anarchism, there's so many misconceptions and prejudices but considering the people who read these blogs and take them seriously (from my flawed subjective experience) it may be a futile effort.

I do not know. I posted the links in the 'general' forum, which is newbie friendly. I just want to see how others react to the article, which, as Ambrose said, some people might take for real. There's no malignant intent behind posting those links.

Sounds like the same sort of slippery logic I've seen religious "debaters" use (the kind which states assertion as fact, builds and destroys irrelevant strawmen, and which avoids the actual point almost entirely.

Some of the points in part 1 are valid, however only strike at "An"-cap (better termed the road to serfdom).
