Hi,
There's a quote from Bakunin that I'd like to use for an essay:
" As a revolutionary socialist, and a sworn enemy of all aristocracies and all tutelage, I believe to the contrary that the people must be told everything. There is no other way to restore them to their full liberty."
It's quoted in this work by Dan Hind http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=mQ9Hu8TNz1EC&pg=PT3&lpg=PT3&dq=bakunin+%22the+people+must+be+told+everything%22&source=bl&ots=eTnFWSYjS6&sig=7ff1ACW41oZ77jWRpgWk8pV2KJE&hl=en&sa=X&ei=zoM9U9f5OcWKhQew-oCYBA&ved=0CDAQ6AEwAQ#v=onepage&q=bakunin%20%22the%20people%20must%20be%20told%20everything%22&f=false , as well as in a piece by bourdieu but neither say where they found it. Was wondering if anyone had come across it anywhere?
Cheers!

The French version can be found in Bakunin's collected works here: http://fr.wikisource.org/wiki/Bakounine/%C5%92uvres/TomeVI61#cite_note-1 (page 301):
Pour moi, socialiste révolutionnaire, ennemi juré de toutes les aristocraties, de toutes les tutelles, de tous les tuteurs, je pense au contraire qu’il faut tout dire au peuple, parce que c’est le seul moyen de provoquer son émancipation prompte et complète.
