that a statement about class should get airtime even in a sardonic way like this is not a bad thing.

The problem, of course, is that the narration was done from the perspective of an insurrectionist. I find insurrectionists to be hugely aggravating, because they often have a very good class analysis, but they only use it to identify who is on which side. They don't use it as a guide to deciding what to do. The Onion is, therefore, misleading* its viewers about exactly what revolutionary class struggle is all about.

* Not intentionally, of course - they probably wouldn't have a clue about the differences between Anarchism & Marxism, let alone the differences within Anarchism between Anarcho-Syndicalism, Anarchist Communism and Insurrectionism. They're just trying to have a laugh.
