Enclosure of the commons, and agrarian communism

Doing an essay on 17th and 18th century enclosure, so looking for any articles that argue against the necessity of private property in allowing for innovation and the implementation of the new improved agricultural techniques. I want to argue that these techniques could have been done collectively with the farmers owning and working the land communally and taking equal share from the produce. Anyone know of any articles that put forward a case for this?
