I think you all know by now that I'm from the Dominican Republic.
I see most of you are Brits or Americans. I'm feeling pretty lonely here...

Vonn, The website is designed to be internationalist so it would be good for people who could report from outside of the english speaking world.
Alot of CNT members use http://www.alasbarricadas.org
Well, I'm now starting to get in touch with folks over here in my country, coordinating meetings with affinity groups. I'm in touch with a CNT militant in Madrid who comes here during the summer.
Also starting to talk with Alf and with a Spanish-speaking World Socialist Movement member.
Alas, three different sets of groups, and I'm still not sure which one to join...
Then again, Red Hughes isn't even a member of anything...
Why do I feel like I have to be a member? Is it just because I feel lonely?

I'd advise against being in contact with them, they do basically nothing but still manage to be parasitical and are an utter utter bore. They've done more damage to Libcom than a million flames.
That said, not too sure about the Dominican anarchos I put you in touch with. i guess I'm just quite cynical about the level of analysis amongst self-proclaimed 'libertarios' in Latin America.
ALB isn't bad but your English seems strong enough to follow discussions on here. You're more than welcome to start threads in Spanish: myself and Mark are regular posters and castellano parlantes and a few folk always seem to come outta the woodwork whenever there's Spanish text on here.

Probably, don't worry about it, it's half the reason many people end up on these boards.
I would recommend not joining a group but trying to work with groups that you either agree with or on causes that you agree with and get to know them.
Do people know of other sites like Libcom or A las barricades, in other languages and countries? Specifically German, but curious about other as well?

Well, I contacted them, and immediately got a Facebook invitation from a CNT militant in Madrid. He comes to the D.R. over the summers and is involved with the anarchos.
I'm going to a meeting on Sunday, to see what it's like.
Wish me well, y'all...
A las barricadas has Spanish-language forums, pero quedar aquí también!
