Saw this video today on the BBC website, show and discuss the work of American photographer Lewis Hine who first helped to highlight the problem of child labour in the 1930's US. Then when on to glamorize the working class with his later more famous photos of the construction of the Empire State Building. It's only a short video, and worth a watch.

Thanks for the link, will check it out later. I noticed BBC had posted another article on him this week. I read up on him a little and noticed that he went out of favour entirely and lost commissions towards the end of his life. I couldn't help but think how this was contemporaneous with the New Deal, and that his politics didn't fit in anymore once it was going out of fashion. Sad.
