Martial Arts Collective

Hi.
I was wondering if anyone knows of any Martial Arts schools that are run as collectives or linked to radical communities?

There's a couple of comrades in Leeds (I think?) that I know train hard and know their stuff. They focus on a reality/street based 'system' but it's not a 'collective' as such, just one or 2 people that have trained lots over the years and know the stuff and how to teach. They've done some weekend long sessions for various groups around the country I think, but tend to keep it all quite low key.

Sure you could track them down with some asking around.

Don't really know of any groups with stated radical politics or ran as collectives. I've been out of MA for a few years though.
I'm joining a new grappling group ran by my friend next week in Fife. Isn't ran as a collective but much more laid back and informal with everybody contributing. Just a bunch of us who have done a lot of MA before. He's the "instructor" i suppose but that's fine with me because he knows MUCH more about grappling than me. Best way to train imo.

I doubt if there are many clubs with explicitly radical politics. Those people that are probably train in a similar way as above.

Yeah, in Italy there are loads.. Off the top of my head I can think of one in Turin, one in Palermo and a couple in Milan.. but Italy has a massive culture of lefty sports shit, like football tournaments between social centres and that (I got absolutely played off the pitch the other day, I just fancied a kickabout! smile )..
