I think one of the main problem most people around here will have with terms like that is the fetishism (not the Marxian kind) of labor as the holy grail of human activity.I always though communism is about the abolishment of labor, not as a creative process but as a alienated sphere of every day life, I think so far that should be quite obvious to any communist but I think the question goes deeper than that; if labor as understood under capitalism vanishes and transforms into something entirely new, is it still labor? (That's mainly coming from the "labor as a purely capitalist category" interpretation)
A world where labor is seen as some kind of holy grail goes pretty much against the whole notion. I'd be pretty content with calling it the Socialist World Republic (as Ernst Busch called it in his song "Der heimliche Aufmarsch", even if that was an explicitly pro-SU song)
I like that name. But I would also be in favor of naming our government with a word or phrase that dispenses with the use of "socialism" in favor of something else that embodies the content of socialism.
What could that word be?

Yeah, me too. But sometimes "calling a spade a spade" can be impolitic, as in poker.
I was just recently banned from Revleft without so much as a warning and no reason was stated.
Stated reason:
Banned user Book O'Dead for trolling in regards to ageism and support for imperialists.
Probably related to this thread: http://www.revleft.com/vb/romney-respect-israel-t173909/index.html
OK, tough to read 5 pages of the RevLeft thread.... but it seems to me that BOD was very soft on Obama. Believing that Obama is better than Romney. That Americans are not as dumb as Europeans think. I don't agree with with this perspective, but....

"Trolling" in revleft has become the catch-all accusation for justifying their arbitrariness.
What happens in revleft should stay in revleft. This forum has enough drama as it is.
Yeah, libcom isn't for moaning about the moderation/admin decisions of another forum. What they do is their business. Going to lock this thread.
