could someone direct me to some info on the transformation of peasents to the working class?
thanks!
perfect!
Yeah, chapter 26 of Capital volume 1 is good as well
http://libcom.org/library/capital-karl-marx
and there is a pretty good article from wildcat Germany about the process and results of the global proletarianization. and fortunately that one is translated to English:
"Beyond the Peasant International"
http://wildcat-www.de/en/wildcat/82/w82_bauern_en.html
edit: just saw that the articlle is also in the library:

I never read marx but chapter 26 sums up capitalism pretty nicely, thanks
that wildcat article is great and gives a lot to think about , though its pretty poorly translated (no offence)

i can't take offense, because i didn't translate it and tbh never read the English translation. but if you have an moment write wildcat a line or two. i'm sure they would like some criticism and corrections.
The section called "The Real and Imagined Village" in this article; http://libcom.org/news/predictable-rise-red-bourgeoisie-end-mythical-nepalese-maoist-revolution-24022012
deals with labour migration, recent proletarianisation of the rural population and its effects on land ownership etc in Nepal. (See also the reply to the maoist in comments below article.)
