Francisco Ferrer was a beacon and an inspiration for all that is progressive and his vision was essentially one of the most important leitmotif in Anarchism ie;the free, rationalscientific and cultural education and encouragement of a child's natural desire to learn. As important to our cause as Bakunin,Goldman,Durruti,Kropotkin etc.Murdered by the State for propagandising Libertarian education.

Any pointers for anything in English?
