After the dissolution of the U.S.S.R. several authors published numerous documents. Among these there are secret orders of Trotsky and other military commanders against the Makhnovtchina. I wonder if someone can publish them in this topic for the purpose of documentation.

For the moment I only found one at this link:
http://www.fondation-besnard.org/article.php3?id_article=569

after translation it gives:

"1) The first task of the 2nd army of the Ukraine is to destroy the military organization of the makhnovists, this task must be effective before the 15th of June.

2) For this objective, with the help of the Revolutionary Military Council of the 2nd army of the Ukraine, we immediately launch a vast campaign of agitation against the makhnovists with the goal to prepare the public opinion of the army and the masses of the workers to the whole liquidation of the “army of Makhno”.

3) The shipment of money, military materials and absolutely everything that is Makhno's army concerns is immediately and completely prohibited under penalty of very severe sanction for lack of responsibility.

4) In quality of troops to eliminate the makhnovists and to consolidate the right part of the Southern Front, in forward edge they are placed, the 12th regiment of Moscow, the cavalry regiment, the elite soldiers regiments of Luganski, Bajmutski, the kursanti battalions, an armored train, armored battalions and the Moscow battalion, named specially.

5) In the region in which there are makhnovists, it is necessary to immediately send experienced workers as spies and help the soldiers' opinions and the masses of workers, to exert an influence on the makhnovists.

6) The liquidation of the makhnovists must be done with a great determination and a great severity, without loss of time and hesitations

Trotsky's secret order n°96, June 3,1919"

Excuse me for the bad translation.

Yes but this case is widely know, i'm talking about posting secret military orders who were published after the USSR was dissolved and also those published in military books in russian.

For example Trotsky's order is quoted from a book released by Belash's son in 1993 and according to Alexander Skirda it contains other orders. Does a russian reader can post them ?

I think we can also find documents about Makhno in the Trotsky's Papers.

Aren't the Trotsky papers or parts of them still not available to scholars and the public?

I don't know I think that they are all available except for those who are in the closed soviet archives.
