They seem like average libertarian communist Anarcho-syndicalists. They link to libcom too!

Yeah, the site is great, full of all kinds of tantalizing tidbits, but i was wondering about that confederation. Where, when? You're right, nothing new about their program that I can tell.

No tell-tale signs of being a fascist front organisation run by a skinny Hitlerite mutant in his mother's basement planning how to cunningly infiltrate the libertarian workers movement! wink

David, I don't know anything about German anarcho-syndicalism except that they have their own bicycle factory...

They had a bike factory, well wasn't exactly the anarcho-syndicalists, it was occupied by the workers and the as comrades came to their aid. I got a bulletin from Breman FAU that a German Trot film-maker has released a documentary on the struggle.

It's actually a Ukrainian group. I don't know if they still exist, but I remember them from the 90's.

Thanks Felix!
Looks like they were or are friendly with FAU, which shows good judgment in my opinion

I see on their website http://www.machnosoli.de.vu/ a link to this article:

Rudolf Rocker: Aus den Memoiren eines deutschen Anarchisten
Auszug über Nestor Machno (Seiten 330 – 337)
(Rudolf Rocker: "From the memoirs of a German Anarchist" ,pages 330 - 337)

Has this article ever been translated into english? I would be very interested to hear Rocker's take on Makhno.

This group is RKAS. It started in the early 90s in Ukraine but died out by 2004. For a couple of years it was inactive but then it started reforming in 2006-2007.

I don't really know the new people, but from the forum it looks like a mixed bunch. In terms of their political program, they're using the program from 1999. Different people seem to have joined now although I know the "main reanimator" of the group. He's been around for years.
RKAS as a dual layer approach like the old CNT-FAI model.

Only reservation is of course the old tendencies of integration with anarchocapitalists. This was the ADA model, which seems too odd for some people to understand (I know it was a question in IFA) since some people are militant anarcho-communists and some petit bourgeois Proudhonists there. I notice two things about new RKAS - that in their online library, the material they have on property is rather in this direction, plus some cooperation with crazy politicians and capitalists from SAU which is in general quite a disgusting organization - a registered party which promotes anarcho-capitalism and paints flags on its crowd photos with PhotoShop.
