Ok so some of us here are Anarchists (with a capital A) and would like to see an anarchist sociaty but if such a thing came into being would it be the summit of our achevments or would it mearly be a point in a journey towards some unknown and as yet unrealised ideal?

Well we're working for a society that's better -- but we can always make the world better, so history wouldn't stop. Plus there would be inevitable disruptions, due to invasions by capitalists, ecological disasters, etc, and a lot of time might be spent dealing with the fall-out from that, and such crises do often create inequality.
The good thing about an anarchist society is that it would allow people to pursue greater and greater freedoms much easier than they can right now.

If it created its own underclass it wouldn't be an anarchist society, would it?
I doubt that it's possible to achieve a perfectly libertarian society, so there'll always be something left to strive for.
I would be happy with a society that shared its wealth equally between each other, didnt obliterate each other in the name of religion and corrupt fat cat politicians and corrupt multinational corporation chairmen no longer existed, im not asking for much am I , Oh yeah and free chocolate for everyone.

OK well it seems everyone is thinging the same way that I am about this: that an anarchist sociaty is not an idealist state as it dosn't spell the end of history but leavs the posibility of progress still open.
