i've been reading some anarchist stuff I got at the Dublin Anarchist Bookfair in LIberty Hall. I came across two interesing anarchist organisations eirigi that seem slightly republican. The other group was Organise who seemed more anti-nationalist. Whats the story with their records on community activism as I'm not really that bothered about the North but I am interested in doing stuff.

Eirigi aren't anarchist, they're a (relatively new) republican group.

Organise are an anarcho-syndicalist group, and have members who post here so I'll leave them to tell you more about themselves.

don't forget 'burn the balicks out of it there'

to anarchopunx81 - me and Notch were on the Organise stall at the Dublin Bookfair, did you say hello?

I guess if you're in Dublin you might want to talk to WSM.

Rather than burning Israeli flags, or trying, I think some Organise members were visiting workers at an occupied factory and then picketing a Subway in solidarity with a sacked worker this weekend. Eirigi are not an anarchist group, they are Sinn Fein lite. Opinions on the WSM?

WSM?
Don't know much about them. To be honest my impression is that they are just socialists who go one about the working class all the time. i don't really see the connection with anarchism.

Well I think you'll find most groups represented on these boards 'go on about the working class', since they generally gravitate towards class-struggle.
Which has everything to do with anarchism. Maybe if you expand a bit more on what you think anarchism is or should be about, or what anarchists should be involved in doing?

You dont see the connection between being an anarchist group and anarchism?

hmm.
