For anyone who is making the trip over - it has pretty much been raining all summer, don't expect that to change when you are over.
The last sun we had was in May 2001.

Actually, the pallet mountain looks pretty cool. I'd come if I could afford it just to see that.

You cant, they burn it, thats the point. Put an Irish flag on top and torch the lot.

25 August, 2008 - 17:18

Um. Sorry - the pallet mountain in that picture is not aflame.

Yeah, it takes a while to build, and has to be guarded 24-7, so people from other bonfire sites dont come and burn it down first. Then they all get lit at midnight on July 11th.

25 August, 2008 - 18:52

Rubbish news, my sister is going back to australia the day of the bookfair and my dad is turning 9000 that weekend. I doubt I'll make it, will try get a train up for some of it though, my ladyfren said she'd come and all but I haven't told her its an anarchist thing or that I'm an anarchist.

I'm sure she'll be fine with it hon.

I don't doubt that. Just that anarchists/anarchism is generally an embarrassment and full of fail.
