Right now I'm leaning towards White Pony on the strength of Feiticeira and RX Queen. Currently listening to Around the Fur for the first time in about 8 years...Be Quiet and Drive's hot.

gave my deftones cds to my ex bout 8yrs ago when we started going out
probably adrenaline or around the fur is my favourite although it has been a LONG time

White Pony, 'cause of the White Pony pacman game where you can get chased by the face of chino moreno.

Also, because it's obviously the best, and I love Passenger with the guy from Tool. And plus I saw them at Leeds years ago touring it and it was nigh on a religious experience.

Not too hot on Passenger, it's poor man's Tool end of day. I like Knife Party though.

Can't remember what it's called, it's in the last track - y'know one of those last tracks that's like 25mins long on the CD so you have to actually fastforward the CD to the song about 15 mins in or some shit

The Pixies are terrible though. They're one of those bands that writes really banal MOR rock-pop but everyone pretends to like cos of that Kurt Cobain (who fronted another very mediocre band, although he did listen to some cool music and sounded like he woulda been alright for a pint) bigging them up.

I mean, if I personally don't like something, I can still appreciate its vision, innovation and fuckyouness but The Pixies are just so nauseatingly mediocre. It saps the energy out of life. In fact, in general terms and with a few notable exceptions, the last 25 years of guitar music have seen the inoffensive sameness rise to the top of the shitpile while the exciting stuff's stayed obscure.
