Could just be my usual inability to spot the bleeding obvious, but there doesn't seem to be much chatter surrounding the Book fair this year on here. While I was disappointed by the lack of promised punch-ups last year, this was more than made up for by the lovely people who attempted to talk to me in a noisy pub who had to resort to loud clear enunciation and occasional miming to get past my deafness/lack of social skills.
So, just a general enquiry really: is anybody going and can we has libcom drinks please?

libcom drinks would be cool if someone can be bothered organising them. Me and notch8 will be a complete fucking mess as we will have just come back from a week of heavy drinking in Germany. FULL LIABILITY.

The landlord (I think, the piece of shit who went mental at pingtiao for ordering water alongside 3 drinks) was a complete cunt, unless we feel the need to book a room, I'd prefer not to on principle.

OK, but I don't know pubs in London, 'cept for the one I met Weeler and Choccy and all when he was over -it was near Freedom bookshop, so that could work out if people wanted to do both?

I'd agree with that, he did the same to me when I arrived. Didn't he also short change people every other round?

I left at around 9 so missed that. Massive twat tho, I think he went off at notch for the crime of ordering a round of 4 drinks.

I ordered 4 or 5 drinks and while he was getting them someone else came over and asked if I could get them one while I was there. When the landlord came back with the drinks I had already ordered I asked for the extra one and he looked at me in exasperation which seemed to say:
"Why must you give me more custom? Now I have to walk the 6 paces to the other end of this small bar, pour a drink and come back. Fuck you, you cunt".

Well, I guess most people will be going to be nearby Wetherspoon's. Is that where Jack got punched?
I guess the best option would be a nearby pub that is not the Wetherspoon's, or the one from last time - any ideas? If we pick one, yeah we can have libcom drinks.

I think that was the wetherspoons and the pub we were supposed to be in was the shit one. Doesn't anyone else know the area? I know some people who live near there but they came to the wetherspoons
