What exactly does "bunfight" mean? I think i understand but i'm not sure. General somewhat childish mischief gotten slightly out of hand, right?

Noun 1. bunfight - (Briticism) a grand formal party on an important occasion

Though the definition changes: it can also be an annual meet up, or a tea party of some description. I think it can also be when things get out of hand, but I've never heard it used in that context.

I found an ICC bunfight thread. Whatever failings Class War had or has, they've always struck me as more grounded in the real world than that lot... I'd still attend Alf's blues jam if i ever get over.
