Dash off a review of this How-To Guide and submit it to www.libcom.org. Whether you compose a Stream of Invective, an Absurd Allegation, or an Irrelevant Digression, and regardless of whether you have ever undertaken to write a single word before in the English language (or have read any of this text beyond than this sentence), your review is bound to be more balanced and informative than anything that would appear on that site otherwise[1][1] The original version of this Guide included a dig at Clamor magazine, which had just uncritically published an authoritarian Marxist’s atentát onRecipes for Disaster. (With little reference to the content of the book or anything else, he utilized the majority of the review to slam CrimethInc. for not being authoritarian Marxists, ending with a quotation from Mao.) To our great dismay, Clamor ceased publication the following week, and several other small publishers to whom they had owed money perished with them. It is with great trepidation, then, that we train our poison pen on a new target..

lol, crimethinc.

So let me get this straight, the writer of that decided to criticise hostility in reviewing by writing snide comments about other collectives? Is this supposed to be ironic or something?

22 July, 2008 - 14:43

Do you reckon they'll send me some free stickers and posters if I write a review?

22 July, 2008 - 15:16

No. You'll get a free pet anarchyjordan to unleash on the boards.

22 July, 2008 - 16:10

Cooooooool... Except I was going to cut'n'paste anarchyjordan for the review.

22 July, 2008 - 16:24

I think he's their editor by the looks of it.

22 July, 2008 - 16:51

That's just plain cruel that they haven't shared with him how to use the spellcheck then.

22 July, 2008 - 16:54

Perhaps they think spelling is just a bourgeois pretension - "real workers" don't do it.

Be glad you don't live in the smoke: I got sucked into a radio phone-in yesterday with Vanessa Feltz talking about London's teenage knife crime problem, the radical headmistress of an academy in Manchester's Moss Side who won't allow pupils to use patois-inflected words - such as "innit" - in the classroom and the fact that BHS (...and we call them BHS because we're no longer allowed to say British Home Stores you know") now produce girl's school uniforms in size 16...

Faced with such exposure to the Daily Mail Islanders you could almost sympathise with those rebellious pesky kids who turn against their bourgeois parents to become the protectors of a percieved workers reality via a series of provocative street theatre interventions and tacky punk rock songs...

Bless them, they mean well.

Yeah... If only they knew the gulag awaits, then they'd sit at home smoking weed and self-harming and have some real fun.

Far as I've seen, they look at "real workers" with no less contempt than they do anything bourgeois.

22 July, 2008 - 18:11

So basically they hate everyone. I suppose it saves time.

I just feel bad because I am the fourth google result for crimethinc, if I had known I had undertaken such an important task I wouldnt have just published the first draft.

22 July, 2008 - 19:54

And on that note I think we've completed the review. Thank you all for your time and extremely constructive input grin

Why do I get the feeling that battletoads is a euphemism for genital warts here?

26 July, 2008 - 21:19

i don't know, perhaps because you suffer from genital warts?

Yes, it is fun, but really fucking hard.

1 August, 2008 - 10:51

no but seriously i do actually think this article of theirs is right on, so fuck you all. they're fine. there's nothing untrue about what they're saying, if you read it. far better than bullshit arguments with pro- and anti- is to subvert the whole thing.
and yes, alot of the way you fuckers treat people on here does deserve to go the way of clamor, although i'm sure that them writing about it won't make that happen any more than me going on doing what i do in spite of some of you trying to put me down will...
