Dept & moving abroad....can they find me???

Hi there

I have a large sum of debt (about 20000) with 1 lending company and am about to move abroad. I will be staying within the EU.
I really would like to know if the debt collectors are able to find me abroad. I will be working so probably have to register myself somewhere.
Is there anybody who can advise me on this?

shit being the operative term here.
I was living in germany in 1992 and looking like some kind of flourescent, bowl-haircut twat did not help me in terms of social interaction when starting secondary school. That and my sarky disdain for rugger buggers, horsey gels and the entire armed forces, which was kind of stupid as we were on an RAF posting, but there you go...

If someone really wants to find you and is prepared to pay for it, you can probably be found. Depends on the company which is looking for you but 20 large is a lot of money, so they'll probably put in some effort and if you're not hiding your name/account details etc they might find you, but then again they might not, there's no definite answer.
