The weakerthans ae the shit, they probably do have a grasp of surplus value. I'm pretty sure john samson works for some academic marxist publishing company. That said i haven't enjoyed the last album quite as much yet, though it will take me while to get it no doubt, can't help thinking i prefer the alludes to nihilistic bhaviour that some of their earlier songs seem to contain that their current ones don't as far as i can see. Eg confessions of a futon revolutionist, exiles among us etc
