Well almost! grin

Another prog i had to leave out of this weeks packed Guide was this one: Tonight, Fri, BBC2, from 7 - 7.30pm. 1/6 - The Real Monarch of the Glen. (awful title tho)

It is about this crazy millionaire guy (MFI heir) who has bought a 23000 acre estate in Alladale in the Scottish Highlands. He is aiming to reestablish species here that were previously extinct on these shores. And have been for hundreds of years. It is a nature reserve, hunting will be banned, wouldbe hunters will be shot on sight. (i might have made up that last bit. tongue )

Rich tourists will pay a small fortune to go on "safari" , plebs will be able to get a glimpse for a small fee.

Sounds amazing, some vision. Millionaires normally just buy dull shit, this is way original.

I heard through the grapevine he wants to bring in some bears, but locals objected in case they got eaten. grin I say, details. cool

Missed the first five minutes, but caught the rest. The millionaire is a bit of a dick as you would expect but the animal footage and scenery are cool. The guy seems a bit naive about the predators tho - he expresses astonishment when told that brown bears prey on elk. Ok, elk are big, but so are bears and way powerful - did the dude think they would avoid the elk and knock up a quick cheese sandwich or something. grin

i watched the first 10 minutes then gave up cos it was shite, the guy is a fuckin dick
although the landscapes were beautiful, amazing looking

Yeah too many people not enough animals. Great animals and scenery tho. i will be certainly be headed up that way when it is all sorted.

Sorry if you thought it might be more exciting than that tho. tongue I knew the prog would not be exciting but the concept still is. If they had referenced "Jurassic Park" in the title instead, i would have known it would be a winner in execution as well as subject matter.
