It will most likely fuck both Opera and Firefox... And they'll be able to harvest even more minutiae of our online selves. It's all part of their plan to create an online Frankenstein's monster. Several google folks believe that artificial intelligence will just spontaneously emerge when enough data is harvested...

I use Opera because it's the best browser on the market. Why would anyone who is bothered to go beyond IE waste their time with FF when Opera is free?

Well, FF is free as well. And not long ago you had to pay for opera (or get ads all over it). And FF is more customizable than Opera.

i used opera on your laptop and it's not any quicker than FF.

I used to use Opera, years ago, but I def prefer Firefox - faster, more customisable and crashes less. Had a brief go with Chrome yesterday, for a beta it was pretty good - hopefully 1.0 when it comes out will have most of the things its missing.

Yeah Opera was great back in the dark ages when I was using a 14.4 modem, you could set it up to load up multiple tabs, so I could load up the dozen or so websites I used to check out daily, have a shower and make breakfast. Usually by then they had loaded.

Mainly use Firefox or Konqueror these days
